New Student Health Screener

Leander ISD has licensed a NEW Frontline Health Portal to provide you with a convenient way to complete your (In-person learning, only) child’s COVID-19 self-screen prior to arriving at school every day. You may download the Frontline App and login to your portal. We will no longer use the google form. · Register and create a Frontline account. You may do this through the Frontline Health Portal app or through the web address, Click Here(It is recommended you use a desktop computer to register, once registered, the Frontline Health App or QR code can be used.)· Use the primary email that you provided to the district and confirm the Portal Terms of Use.· You will receive an email with a temporary password and a link to confirm your account.· You will need your child’s Student ID # to add your child to the account Important Note: All children in a family can be added to the same exact account. As well as families that have multiple homes, both parents can create an account for their child with their own email.

For Virtual learners

Resources and Library Pick-up EVERY TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY from 3:15-6:00pm. Teachers will communicate with parents in an email if they need to pick-up items for learning.

Curbside Library

Library Curbside Tutorial

We are currently accepting library books and literacy library books from the 2019-2020 school year. For Virtual learners, we will place a blue bin outside the main entrance of the school for returns. These bins will be outside seven days a week, 24 hours a day. You can drop off your books and we'll gladly check them in for you. For In Person learners, please drop off books in the library before, during & afterschool. If you are on another campus, please take those books to your campus library so that your librarian can send them to Akin for you.

If you need to pay for a lost book, please drop off the exact amount of cash or check made out to Leander ISD-Akin Elementary Library. (Please include driver's license and phone information on the check.) Payments can be dropped off at the front desk with Mrs. Casteel. A receipt will be emailed to you.

THERE ARE NO FINES OR PENALTIES FOR LATE BOOKS. Please email​ us if you have any specific questions or concerns.

Learning Location Changes

November 20, 2020 will be the last day to change your student's Learning Location for the 3rd nine weeks, please fill out this form. Please note that your student's homeroom teacher will change each time a request is made. Any requests received after the deadline date for the 2nd nine weeks will not be considered until the next grading period (December 18, 2020) . Please understand that the purpose for these deadlines is to allow our campus to adjust staffing and student homeroom assignments in a timely manner.
