Leander ISD voters selected incumbents Trish Bode and Aaron Johnson, and new Board of Trustees Gloria Gonzales-Dholakia and Elexis Grimes, according to Nov. 6 unofficial election results from Travis and Williamson counties.

Leander ISD held elections for four seats Places 1, 2, 6 and 7 on its seven-member, at-large Board of Trustees, serving four-year terms. Gonzales-Dholakia and Grimes replace two longtime Trustees who did not seek re-election, Don Hisle and Will Streit.

“On behalf of Leander ISD, we want to thank all of our candidates for their willingness to serve,” Superintendent Dan Troxell, Ph.D., said. “We have a strong tradition for community leadership throughout Leander ISD, thanks to the amazing leaders who have served on the board. As a team of eight, I look forward to serving with these men and women representing our 40,000 students and our electorate.”

Leander ISD will canvass the vote during a special-called meeting at noon Nov. 20 at the LEO Conference Center, 300 S. West Dr. in Leander. Trustees will take office at the Nov. 29 meeting, 6:15 p.m. at LEO.
